Oz Trip – Day 13

Manly Beach in Autumn

I had to take my beautiful woman to Manly Beach – I had been raving on and on about how nice the beach was, and how awesome the atmosphere was. Unfortunately, it isn’t the same in Autumn. The weather was not sunny at all, and it was incredibly windy. Two things you didn’t want to fly half-way around the world to endure, and to go to my fav beach and have it so cloudy. Shit happens, but it was still nice, just not nice to swim in – and you also needed a huge coat. Bah ha ha ha. There were still some crazy ass white people swimming, they must have been Londoners thinking that the water was freaken warm.

That and the surfers, but they’re always there. We drove my sister’s car to Manly, and after all these years I still have no clue how to get there properly. Train and Ferry simply take too long, car is cheaper even with the price of gas, which makes Marine laugh her head off. It costs about $40-$50 to full tank my sister’s car, which is a lot to me, but it costs 50€ (about $100aus) to full tank Marine’s car and it’s smaller. What else can you do but laugh, in London it’s £50 – ha ha ha – I never drove in London though!

But it was a good day regardless. She got to get some tanning done (because the sun popped up every now and again, and the sun here tends to be stronger even if it is Autumn).  Ma biche just wanted an idea of the type of things I do when I lived here, and Manly was the place I liked to be. Took her to the coffee shop I go, took her around the weekend markets, and went bush walking  up and down the bloody cliffs. Those things are fucking dangerous too btw – but the views are awesome (I actually didn’t even know those walks existed).

I also took her to my fav fish and chip shop in Sydney. It is at the very corner of the building next to the traffic lights, and opposite the pub. It used to be like $6 but because of the crisis or whatever stupid fucking reason, it’s now $12 for fish and chips or something. The price is still good in terms of Euro, crap in terms of the dollar. But she loved it – which is what I wanted really.

However, some American bastard cunt, actually came up to the woman (they’re greek) and he complained that the service was really bad and incredibly slow. The greek woman was standing there shocked, like “wtf” – he had to wait like 5-10mins for fish and chips and he’s there complaining. What a god damn retard. Australians don’t really complain when it comes to food, and don’t argue, they don’t. They may complain afterwards, but never then and there. That is American. I would still eat it if it tasted like ass, esp if I was hungry – then I would complain to anyone who would read/listen – bah ha ha.

All in all, was a nice day, even though it was a little chilly. The sun was in and out, and I was house shopping, showing Marine the houses that I would like her to build for me in the Cote d’Azur. It must be built on a cliff, and it MUST face the Ocean. Whoo hoo.
